It is time again to select the South African Team to defend the International FLOW Championship Trophy at the 2010 IFC World Championships at Wave House, Sentosa in Singapore. The SA IFC Qualifier will be held this weekend, July 25th. Four riders will be selected to represent South Africa and their venue at the IFC championships from October 29-31, 2010.

All the top riders will be vying for the top spots to represent their country and venue at the second annual IFC championships. These riders including current IFC world champion – Wes Fischer will be going up against SA wake boarder – Matt Lammers, Surfer – Rob Whyte, Last years Wildcard – Paolo Falconer, Strapless extraordinaire – Andy Carrie and Michael Hunt to name a few. Rob Whyte is the biggest threat to this year’s qualifier as he is always pushing the limits and has been killing his strapless riding. The Female division was looking very strong up until a few days ago when Nicole O’driscoll, who has been ripping, broke her hand. Injuries have just not played in our favor and Monique Dickason is also out for the qualifier along with Sarah Bloch. Christy Card will be a top contender as she was last year’s runner-up. Christy is hungry to make the team but must beat an on form Marta Jekot. The Bodyboarding division will see reigning SA Flow champ and IFC runner-up, Billy Tennant go against bodyboarders like Adam Waites, Wes Fischer, Paul Munro, Sascha “ST” Taljaard, Angelo Ackerman and Brandon Herbst. Billy is the heavy favorite for the event but with this pool of riders, anything can happen. The event promises to be awesome and will kickoff with the contest briefing at 9:30 on Sunday morning and a start time of 11:00.
