Opening of Flow House(TM) Bedford!

The grand opening of the first Flow House on the planet took place last week, May 26-30th, just north of London in Bedford, England. The event was hosted by Heart FM, a British national radio station, and sponsored by Animal.

Normally with indoor water attractions, glass barriers are required to separate the waves from the rest of the venue. At Flow House though, with a state-of-the-art ventilation system, riders and spectators were able to mix and enjoy the opening as one, without anything separating them from the action. Prize winner Ian, from the Animal online contest, visited the new venue for a flowriding session and was joined by Wave Loch team riders Sean Silveira and Greg Lazarus (Laz). They taught both Ian and the Animal team made up of snowboarders, skiers, wakeboarders and BMX riders, how to ride the FlowRider. They had a blast in the indoor space and couldn't believe how much it felt like it was outside! The team said, "Thank you so much to everyone up there, we had such an amazing time!"

Attendees were able to experience an exhilarating free fall on Vertigo, the 125 ft power fan jump, and also the 180mph indoor skydiving experience, Bodyflight. Laz and Sean followed the pro riders from Animal in these extreme activities and the British Women's Four Way Skydiving Team made a guest appearance and formation for the occasion.

Saturday the 29th was the official Launch day as guests arrived to watch the riders shred. Laz and Sean taught tricks including acid drops, 360s and even pop shuvits for a few riders. Guests were also offered the chance to ride, as Heart Radio's DJ Tony Dibbins provided the entertainment for the day. Sunday ended the weekend with some master classes taught by the Wave Loch riders. Future clients and guests left the opening excited, enthralled and ready to start jumping, flying and shredding the first double FlowRider in the UK, at Flow House Bedford.
