Friday night marked the opening of Sound Wave, Wave House San Diego's latest addition. With freshly polished tables, a bright and excited staff, and food presentation second to none, the evening, and the weekend to follow, were a complete and total success. With an expansive menu including Calamari Pizzicato (served hot with kalamata olives and a tangy, spicy kick), Born to be Wild Chicken (half pound free range chicken breast marinated in fresh local herbs with an apple raisin sauce) and the night's favorite, Pan Seared Salmon Pasta (pan seared and sauteed with fresh tomatoes, spinach and crimini mushrooms served in a warm basil-pesto sauce), the only thing stressful was deciding what to order.
The weekend came and went quickly with the first breaths of San Diego summer in the air. Foot traffic and excited locals galore ventured to try all that Sound Wave has to offer. The kitchen was bustling as the expert team of Sound Wave chefs got used to their new surroundings. Offering diners complimentary bites, visitors were thrilled with their meals.
With sunset drinks and all day breakfast options in a warm and inviting atmosphere, people came, tried and loved this new beach front hotspot. With warm weather in the forecast, and longer service hours to come, Sound Wave's future looks bright. Come down next weekend for lunch, brunch or dinner paired with an oceanfront stroll or a ride on the B-Max.
As the Spring months progress, so will the live music shows, longer hours, more seating and the opening of both Sound Wave Music Hall and the Cloud Break rooftop terrace. From appetizers like Nachos Grandiosos to gourmet desserts like Key Lime Pie, Sound Wave is a solid spot for friends and family alike.
