Young Guns - Trevor Rynberg

Trevor Rynberg

It was love at first sight when Trevor Rynberg, in 8th grade at the time, started flowboarding four years ago. Despite getting barreled a ton in the beginning, the advanced riders and what they were able to do on the wave kept him motivated. He rides goofy to match the break, though he is generally ambidextrous in other extreme sports ranging from wakeboarding and diving, to parkour. He's placed second in a few Flow Jams and fourth in Expert Stand Up at Nationals in 2008.

Currently, his favorite trick is a method back flip, which starts out as a normal back flip but at the peak, he grabs the board and pulls it back as far as possible. After a leg injury last fall, he's still getting his riding legs back, he says, and doesn't want to rush into anything.

He says he stays motived by watching his fellow riders and the stunts they can pull. He constantly strives to accomplish something new and gets hyped to the sounds of the RX Bandits. His favorite subject in school is science and he is always down for Italian food. His main goal in flowboarding is to constantly improve his skills and to enjoy every minute.
